About Community Engagement and Programs
Community engagement holds a prominent place in the fabric Heritage Village Project. Programs are designed and embarked on strategically to engage the community, a force that knits together individuals, cultures, and ideas in the quest to create better and more prosperous communities. Through the arts, mobilizing local resources and capabilities, practicing community engagement allows for the realization of shared goals and visions.
Black History Celebration
In partnership with SPEAKPEACE ENTERTAINMENT LLC, The annual Black History Celebration brings emerging artists and gifted artists together to educate,empower and celebrate African cultural Heritage.
Classes, Workshops, Training, and Conferences
Drum & Dance Classes/ Workshops and training are offered to build the community and provide a sense of belonging for participants. This promotes social cohesion and benefits the community mentally, physically, economically and spiritually.
Art Exhibition
Art exhibitions themed “A Walk through Africa” are part of the Heritage Art series which showcases traditional and contemporary arts works in collaboration with artists across the continent of Africa and around the globe.
Concerts
Our community programs include concerts and performances in churches,assisted living facilities, Embassies, mental institutions, private and government organizations.
